WBJ Minority Business Leader Award Winner

Vysnova Partners CEO Carlos Rivera is being recognized as one of the Washington Business Journal’s minority business leaders for 2017.

The publication will honor 25 local business leaders as part of its tenth class of awardees. Honorees were selected from nominations by a panel of judges and Washington Business Journal staff. The awards celebrate the region’s top minority business owners and executives, each of whom exemplify a dedication to ethics, giving and leadership.

“I am honored to be recognized by the Business Journal with this prestigious award,” said Rivera. “I want to thank everyone who I have worked with that has contributed to my success and the success of our companies.”

Rivera, a self-described serial entrepreneur, founded Vysnova Partners in 2012. Since then, he has grown the company from a startup to an established contractor with more than $5 million in revenue. Prior to founding Vysnova, Rivera started another company CAMRIS International, where he served as Chairman and CEO from 1997 until 2012. CAMRIS is number 14th among the 200 leading USAID contractors by spending for 2015. Rivera has more than thirty years of experience working in the health and information management sectors – before joining the business world, he served in the U.S. Navy.

This year’s awardees will be honored at a ceremony at MGM National Harbor March 23 from 6 to 9 p.m. Tickets are available on the Washington Business Journal’s website.
