October to November 2014,

Vysnova Partners Inc. (Vysnova) staff member, under a subcontract with ICF International, returned to Kingdom of Lesotho to complete a field assignment as part of USAID’s Demographic Health Survey Program. The objective of the visit was to, monitor 2014 Lesotho DHS fieldwork. Vysnova staff members have successfully completed similar activities in Liberia, Togo, and Uganda.

About the DHS Program:
The USAID Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS) Program (formerly the Monitoring and Evaluation to Assess and Use Results (MEASURE) DHS Program) which was initiated in 1984, provides technical assistance to middle and low income countries to implement the Program’s household level Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS), AIDS Indicator Surveys, and Malaria Indicator Surveys, as well as facility level Service Provision Assessment Surveys, and qualitative research. DHS provides a range of data collection options that are tailored to fit specific monitoring and evaluation needs of host countries related to women’s and children’s health, fertility, mortality, family planning, nutrition, HIV, malaria, and NCDs. In addition to assisting with survey implementation, The DHS Program provides assistance with dissemination and use of data, GIS, biomarker data collection and lab testing, creating maintaining archives and building institutional capacity all along the survey continuum from data collection to use.
