Vysnova Partners (Vysnova), as a subcontractor to GDIT as part of DAU’s Learning and Technology Support Services (LTSS) program to Design, Develop, Pilot and Deployment of Modular Game with CON 216 Course

 Vysnova Partners Inc. (Vysnova) under a subcontract with General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) for the Defense Acquisition Universities’ (DAU) Learning and Technology Support Services (LTSS) program for production of games designed to run as part of the CON 216 courseware. Vysnova’s Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) Dr. John Fallon and Ms. Margot Levin, works closely with GDIT, DAU SMEs, and gaming technical experts on developing gaming solutions to be deployed in conjunction with a DAU course on Legal Considerations in Contracting (CON 216).  Game topics include Contract Law, Fiscal Law, Protests, Claims, and Terminations. 

About the Program:

In order to meet the needs and expectations of the changing acquisition workforce, the Defense Acquisition University (DAU) is integrating new tools and instruction/learning techniques (e.g., gaming and simulation) into its curriculum.  The gamification of CON 216 is part of DAU’s effort to better enhance and unify the learning experience. The DAU is a Department of Defense training establishment that trains approximately 150,000 military and civilian personnel in the areas of acquisition, technology and logistics (AT&L). DAU has won multiple awards for high performance teams that implemented the best learning practices and programs on a global scale.

Vysnova staff returns to the Kingdom of Lesotho to support USAID’s Demographic Health Survey Program as a subcontractor to ICF International

October to November 2014,

Vysnova Partners Inc. (Vysnova) staff member, under a subcontract with ICF International, returned to Kingdom of Lesotho to complete a field assignment as part of USAID’s Demographic Health Survey Program. The objective of the visit was to, monitor 2014 Lesotho DHS fieldwork. Vysnova staff members have successfully completed similar activities in Liberia, Togo, and Uganda.

About the DHS Program:
The USAID Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS) Program (formerly the Monitoring and Evaluation to Assess and Use Results (MEASURE) DHS Program) which was initiated in 1984, provides technical assistance to middle and low income countries to implement the Program’s household level Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS), AIDS Indicator Surveys, and Malaria Indicator Surveys, as well as facility level Service Provision Assessment Surveys, and qualitative research. DHS provides a range of data collection options that are tailored to fit specific monitoring and evaluation needs of host countries related to women’s and children’s health, fertility, mortality, family planning, nutrition, HIV, malaria, and NCDs. In addition to assisting with survey implementation, The DHS Program provides assistance with dissemination and use of data, GIS, biomarker data collection and lab testing, creating maintaining archives and building institutional capacity all along the survey continuum from data collection to use.

October 2014,

Vysnova Partners Inc. (Vysnova) staff member, under a subcontract with ICF International, completed a field assignment in the Republic of South Africa as part of USAID’S Demographic Health Survey Program. Our staff member, worked closely with Statistics South Africa (STATS SA) and South African Research Council (SA MRC) together with other stakeholders to design the 2015 South African DHS questionnaires. Vysnova staff members have successfully completed similar activities in Liberia, Togo, and Lesotho.
